Find out the differences between the Kabaddi that is played in your locality and the Kabaddi which is played at the national or international level. Form small groups and discuss with your friends the game of their liking. Find out various items required for the game.
Ans. In our locality, Kabaddi is played between two teams each of seven players. When there are more players then we divide the players equally. The area of the field doesn't matter much in length or width. At national or international level, there are certain rules for Kabaddi matches. It is played between two teams of seven players. Each team keeps five players in reserve. Field for international level Kabaddi matches is twelve and a half metre long and ten metres wide. Each team occupies half of the area of the field. The game is played in twenty minute in two halves. Five minutes' half-time break is also provided. Each team in turn sends a 'raider' to the opposite team's half. Tagged players from the raider are called out and sent off the field. A player is declared out if he goes over the boundary line. A team scores a bonus of two points called 'lona', if the entire players of opposite team is declared out.
*Discuss with your friends the game of their liking among yourselves.
