E.1.Look at the following pairs of words.

clap     -      clapping
make   -      making

You see that in the first example, 'ing' is directly added to 'try' which ends with 'y'. In the second example 'p' of clap' is doubled before 'ing' is added. Similarly, in the third example, make' is dropped before 'ing' is added. 

(पहले शब्द 'try' में तुमने देखा कि ing' सीधे जुड़कर नया शब्द बनाता है जिस शब्दू (ry) के अंत में 'y' होता है । दूसरे शब्द 'clap' में ing' जुड़ने के पहले p' दुगुना (pp) हो जाता है। जबकि शब्द 'make' में ing' जुड़ने के पहले 'make' का 'e' हट जाता है और उसके स्थान पर '1' आ जाता है ।)
