In sentence (a) *our" in 'our food' emphasises the sense of possessiveness or belongingness. Simiarly 'my' in 'my son' suggests relation-between the speaker and the boy—that is sens of belongingness. We have several such sord which suggest possession. They include My, Our, You, His, Her, Its, Their, Ram's Minu's.... These all suggest pessession. So, they are Possessive Adjectives.
